Scholarship value:

A Chevening Scholarship typically covers university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants and subsidies to cover essential expenses.


A Chevening Scholarship applicant needs to be able to:

  1. Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
  2. Upon the completion of your scholarship, return to your home country for a minimum of two years.
  3. Have a bachelor’s degree that allows you to access a postgraduate program at a UK university. This is generally equivalent to a 2:1 second-class upper honors degree in the UK.
  4. Possess a minimum of two years’ worth of experience in the workforce.
  5. Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive an unconditional offer of one of these options by April 11, 2024.
  6. Meet Chevening’s English language requirements by the deadline, either by taking an English test or by applying for an exemption based on the UKVI exemption categories.

How to Apply

Entries for the Chevening Awards can only be submitted using Chevening’s online application system, available via the “Apply” button on your country page. Applications close in November each year.
