Renowned Nigerian video director, known professionally as Choppenson, has publicly accused Shatta Wale of failing to compensate him for his professional services.
In a video he posted, Choppenson stated that Shatta Wale, the self-proclaimed African dancehall king, owes him $5,000.
According to Choppenson’s account, Shatta Wale initially booked him for a 3-day stint for a show in Tamale.
Upon completion of the agreed-upon period, Shatta Wale requested him to extend his stay to collaborate on additional projects.
Out of loyalty from their long-standing professional relationship, Choppenson agreed and remained on location. Over the years, he has directed 13 music videos for Shatta Wale.
However, despite fulfilling his obligations, Choppenson claims that Shatta Wale and his team have been evasive regarding the $5,000 payment owed to him.
Choppenson further alleges that Shatta Wale initially promised him $15,000 but only paid $10,000, leaving a balance of $5,000 outstanding.
